Playroom
This is my play room at home in Cambridgeshire. I’ve partitioned off the last 2.5m (8ft) of the garage, and insulated it. It’s a bit overcrowded, but I manage to work in there somehow!
The insulation, the lining, and all the shelving and the bench are patched together from bits and pieces out of skips (dumpsters). Much of the contents of the all the drawers and boxes is also salvaged stuff.
Update: Last year, I extended my working space with a canopy over part of the back garden, crazy paved with bits of freecycled stone, with a very solid workbench made from salvaged stuff. Nice to work outside, even in the rain (as long as it’s not too windy as well), and now it’s possible to handle bigger stuff relatively easily, too.
