Klaksvik, Faroes’ second city

On Borðoy, now connected to Eysturoy by a submarine tunnel, and thence to Streymoy (and Tórshavn) by a bridge. The bridge was already there in 1983, but the tunnel is new. There used to be a ferry.

(The -oy suffix means island in Faroese. -vik means bay.)
