I extended most of our walks by a mile or two, leaving my parents having a rest somewhere while I climbed some hill or other to see the view, then returning to rejoin them as they returned to the boat or the hotel.
On this occasion, I’d just taken those two South Greenland photos – actually, three photographs, two of which I’ve stitched together into a panorama.
