1982. Another view down off the slopes of Kristinartindur – on the other side, the east side. Ice-carved cliffs, with a much-reduced glacier still grinding slowly past at the foot of them.
I was up there all on my own. My parents, then younger than I am today, were on a shorter, easier walk lower down.
I visited almost the same spot again in 2002 with my own family – and my sister – but it was raining heavily and we couldn’t go so close to the edge safely.
