Highgate. We lived in 10a, the top flat, for a year while I was teaching at Highgate School. The flat belonged to the school – we couldn’t have afforded to live in London on my salary otherwise. Not anywhere half decent, anyway. Not that that flat was really half decent.
Sadly had to part with our lovely Peugeot tandem because it wasn’t practical to carry it up the terrible external staircase (originally a fire escape, the interior staircase having been removed to make more space in the flats).
