At a relatively quiet time of day. It’s very difficult to get pictures of the insides of trains that are really crowded – people keep on getting in the way of the camera. Much more crowded than this and it just gets impossible.
It was a bit random – I was sitting down, and just held the camera up, pointed it down the carriage, and pressed the button.
I didn’t even take several, to pick the best. I only took one, because I didn’t really want to be noticed. One or two people near me – not in the picture – noticed, and smiled at me. It’s a semi-flash picture, but I got the camera out of the way pretty quickly, so if anyone looked up when the flash went, they probably didn’t see the camera, or who was holding it.
