View from our Garden, January 1987

Looking towards New Valley from just outside our house on Benside, near Stornoway, Isle of Lewis, Scotland. A panorama stitched together the old-fashioned way! Sadly, the negs have deteriorated; this is scanned from the only extant prints, slightly wrinkled from having been glued down on a piece of black card. I had to scan it a bit at a time (because it’s bigger than my scanner) and stitch it again (the modern way).

We lived in that house for a year, then a different one not far from it for another two, before leaving the island in 1989.
