Red Deer Stag

Spotted during an afternoon and evening drive around Assynt, when we were stuck in Oban because our ferry to Stornoway was cancelled due to very heavy seas.

There’s no larger image because this is cropped out of the middle of a long telephoto shot, and it just gets blurry if you try to zoom in any further. Once I’d got this shot, I tried to get closer for a better one, but the stag was beginning to get nervous already. As soon as I started moving closer, he was off.
